Gatlinburg Getaway

When you get a beautiful weekend, you could stay home and enjoy it, or you can take a road trip to another place to enjoy it even more! My pops, older sister and I ventured out to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains this past weekend to celebrate my dad’s Bday and get our explorin’ on. One thing that Dad wanted to do was drive his Shelby GT500 Mustang on The Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina. 381 curves in 11 miles! Let me tell you, it was a little scary, but exhilarating! He slayed the Dragon’s tail…. haha, get it?

Then, we went into Cherokee to feed and play around with some bears. To me, they seemed super cute and playful, but my sister mentioned that after seeing the Revenant, she wasn’t very trustful. After that, we went into Gatlinburg for the rest of the weekend. We walked the strip, ate some great food, attended multiple moonshine tastings, got delicious caramel apples and drank some killer margaritas on a rooftop, just soaking in the amazing weather we had. All in all, it was a perfect weekend, spent with two of my favorite people.

This was such a great long-weekend trip to take, and I hope I can take many more in the future! Stay tuned, though, because I have a BIG trip coming up next week….
