My current fashion obsession: MINIMALISM.
Why not make your style easy? Having a solid foundation of fashion essentials that you can mix and match are key to a great wardrobe. A minimalistic style is simple, casual, comfortable and neutral. Speaking of neutral; those are my go-to tones.
black | gray |white | nude
This is probably my most favorite outfit of all time, and you will most likely see me wear it fairly often. Actually, I’m usually in all black. Wearing all black all the time is a part of my lifestyle, because it’s my work uniform. As a hairstylist, it’s easier to fix my black, bleach-stained clothes rather than my regular clothes. I go into stores (probably more than I should…) and am immediately drawn to black clothes. They are classy, elegant and easy to pair and wear. I try to lead a more colorful lifestyle…it just might not reflect in my wardrobe. I typically wear all neutral tones, and to spice it up here and there, I’ll add a pop of color. Whether it be some sort of accessory, jewelry or shoe; it can bring some life to your outfit if you so choose.
Here are a few minimalistic essentials that should be in your closet right meow and will set you up for success with your fashion wardrobe:
UO Flannel– MUST have Fall essential…or for all the time.
I got mine locally at Filly + Steed.
Silence + Noise Strappy Bralette– Just splurge and do it. Thank me later.
Project Social White V-neck– You’re crazy if you don’t already have one. Go ahead and get one of every color.
UO Loose Tank Top– Still in the “nude” family. The flowier, the more food you can eat.
AE Distressed Shorts– Non-distressed shorts are boring.
ASOS High-Rise ripped denim– Totes obsessed with these.
ASOS White Ripped Denim– Still going to wear these after Labor Day…
Forever 21 Black Bootie– I think I wear these every day…really.
Converse All-Star Chucks– Look closely…these are leather.
Levi’s Classic Trucker Jacket– Yes, just yes.
UO Half-Frame Sunnies– So hipster, so awesome.
Earthbound Suede Fringe Purse– I actually just bought this…
Free People Panama Hat– Dirty hair? Problem solved.
Hopefully this gives you a good idea of simple, easy things to stock up on to create the perfect minimalistic wardrobe. The best thing about this style is that you can rock these items all year round! I would love to answer any questions you may have or feel free to share with me some of your favorite fashion essential that you can’t live without!
